Category: My Work
This is the second time my novella Gods Among Men has been anthologised (it was also in Bi Magic) – third if you count Erotica Apocrypha, when it was called Storms of Ancient Gods. It’s intriguing to see how the story fits in with the others around it – I’ve not yet read the anthology to comment, but a look at the contents page tells me I’m in good company and that it will be a fascinating read. If I do say so myself. 🙂
Back at Wicked Wednesday at long last! And back with my characters Marc and Brendan from my ongoing story thing (I kind of like just having them as characters who come out to play from time to time, but I think some back story and explanation would be nice to do some time) Water and Dust. This time, the story is in two parts, and is filling my still ongoing 2013 Kink Bingo card, for the orgasm control/denial square. Word count: 1000 approx.
The property was all theirs now, but it meant work. Just as they’d both brought their smarts to bear when they’d purchased the land – with Marc’s thoroughness, and Brendan’s wiley mind – now it was time for both of them to lay their bodies to the task. For the mess the previous owners had left was disastrous.
Fool’s Gold is out! Again… yes, my first self-published effort has now been published by Forbidden Fiction, with a brand spanking new cover (much improved on my own earlier effort… I have now come to accept that covers are not my forte) and some edits – nothing major has changed, some paragraphs have been switched around so it works with two chapters rather than the single short story it was before, but apart from that, it’s Fool’s Gold as it was before. And a day out, I’ve already had some lovely feedback from a reader/friend on Facebook. 🙂
Fool’s Gold came about initially as a response to a call – it’s been a few years now so I can’t remember if the theme was pirates or fantasy in general. It wasn’t accepted, but the editors comments were encouraging. So I thought I’d have a shot a self-publishing. It sold a handful of copies. Not the most successful experiment, but people who knew me and bought and read it liked it. So when I started publishing with Forbidden Fiction, it seemed the right place to move it to.
I can’t recall the initial inspiration. I knew I wanted a lady pirate, and I knew I wanted her to be the more dominant one – though I hasten to add this isn’t a femdom story as such. I also wanted to explore the idea of how the sexual relationships we have might not match the image or the fantasy of what we want, or even deliver the sex we want. Throw that in with a Caribbean setting and some intriguing coins and you’ve got Fool’s Gold. Do give it a read (for 99c) if that sounds appealing.
When Anne Delahaye, captain of the pirate ship Merriment, is lead to a chest of coins with unusual markings, she assumes that she’s been cheated. But when she learns that the coins may be the key to a strange cave where desires become reality, she goes to find out for herself. What she finds there brings up memories and desires of a life she thought was gone.

Ripe Fruit was originally published at Every Night Erotica in 2011.
After Martin let Sylvia go wandering across his land by herself, the fear beset him like a gnawing beast. He sat on the balcony, paper in hand, above the paths and tracks where Sylvia might have gone. He tried to read the paper, but his eyes drifted above the horizon of print, to the grass of his gardens, the fountain streaming indifferently to his heart that hadn’t stopped thumping since she had vanished through the tidy hedges onto the unkempt land beyond.
God, how long since she had left? he thought, checking his watch. Seeing it was an hour and a half, Martin cursed his idiocy of inviting her here in the first place. She’d probably tucked her wallet into her shorts and was sitting on the bus back to London, willing it to go faster, as far from him as possible.
